Projects

Things I've built, tested, automated, and occasionally broken.

A collection of infrastructure, networking, automation, self-hosting, and software projects I've worked on to solve problems, experiment with technology, and continue developing my skills.

Infrastructure & Homelab

Building the environment behind the experiments.

Proxmox & Ceph Homelab

Virtualization & Distributed Storage

I maintain a multi-node Proxmox VE environment built on HPE ProLiant servers and use Ceph for distributed storage across the cluster.

The environment serves as both my personal infrastructure platform and a lab for testing virtualization, clustering, storage, networking, Linux administration, monitoring, and infrastructure management.

Physical Cisco Networking Lab

Routing, Switching, Firewalls & Wireless

I maintain a physical Cisco lab using routers, switches, ASA firewalls, a wireless LAN controller, and access points for hands-on routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and wireless testing.

The lab gives me a place to work through real configurations, break things safely, troubleshoot them, and experiment with multi-site network designs outside of production environments.

Networking & Automation

Removing repetitive work from network operations.

NetBox Tenant Automation

Infrastructure Automation

I developed custom NetBox automation for provisioning and retiring tenant network resources.

The workflow helps create tenant records consistently and can remove related wireless LANs, prefixes, VLANs, and supporting resources when a tenant is retired, while keeping destructive operations deliberate and controlled.

Network & Infrastructure Tooling

Automation & Operational Tools

I build small scripts, tools, and integrations to simplify infrastructure tasks, validate network data, reduce repetitive configuration work, and make troubleshooting faster.

These projects range from PowerShell and Python automation to API integrations and containerized internal tools.

Self-Hosted Infrastructure

Running the services instead of just using them.

Self-Hosted Service Platform

Linux, Docker & Identity

I operate a collection of self-hosted services across Linux and Docker environments for identity, monitoring, documentation, development, media, file management, and infrastructure administration.

The environment gives me hands-on experience with reverse proxies, authentication, containers, service networking, storage, backups, application upgrades, and day-to-day Linux administration.

PXE & Automated Deployment Lab

Deployment Infrastructure

I maintain a network-boot environment for testing operating system deployment and unattended installation workflows.

The project is used to experiment with PXE booting, deployment automation, answer files, workstation provisioning, and repeatable installation processes.

Software & Web

Small tools and software that solve real problems.

Infrastructure Lookup Tools

Internal Web Applications

I build lightweight internal web tools that connect to infrastructure APIs and present operational information in a simpler format for day-to-day troubleshooting and support.

These projects focus less on building large software platforms and more on solving specific operational problems with small, maintainable applications.

Personal & Business Websites

Web Development

I design and maintain several websites using Astro, including this site and sites supporting personal and business projects.

The work includes responsive layouts, static site generation, analytics, forms, integrations, deployment, and maintaining the infrastructure used to host them.

Still Building

Most of these projects are never really finished.

My lab and personal infrastructure change as I learn new technologies, replace old approaches, and find better ways to solve the same problems. This page highlights the larger projects rather than trying to catalog every script, container, configuration, or experiment.
